Vineyard Romance | Summerland

When Morgan with Wednesday Wedding Co shared the design for Sophie and Brad’s intimate Okanagan wedding, we were thrilled to team up and bring their vision to life! Sophie and Brad envisioned a luxurious Lake Como-inspired wedding with rustic European glamour and lush florals in pastel tones of blush, light blue, and butter yellow. Vows & Vines Vineyard in Summerland was the perfect setting for their al fresco wedding with its surrounding rolling hills of vineyards and a majestic view of the Okanagan Lake.

The ceremony featured our large round arbour designed by our Lead Floral Designer, Annikka with lush babies-breath, layers of roses, and delicate filler blooms. It perfectly framed S & B, creating a stunning focal point and backdrop for their vows.

Sophie dreamed of a lily of the valley bridal bouquet, which was out of season in July. We incorporated stems of faux lily of the valley with fresh bouvardia and delphinium buds, surrounded by local fresh cut lily of the valley foliage.

The bridesmaids each wore a different pastel colour, so we designed matching colour-blocked bouquets with delicate blooms surrounded with lily of the valley foliage to complement the bridal bouquet.

Our Opal specialty ivory linens provided an elegant and warm canvas for the luxurious table details. Our new Bianca ivory compotes gracefully complemented the ornate ivory charger plates and cane-back Louis chairs.

Ivory chiffon covered the pergolas, softly billowing in the breeze for a beautiful effect while also providing shade from the Okanagan sun. We embellished the corners of the pergolas with fresh smilax vine as if it were naturally growing on them for a rustic, European feel.

Long Tuscany-style tables bring everyone together for an intimate feel. This was the perfect table arrangement for S & B’s cozy reception dinner with their closest friends and family.

The clouds rolled in after the ceremony, creating a romantic and relaxed atmosphere. Later as the sun went down, the string lights glowed and our LED candles flickered like real candlelight for a warm effect. What a magical celebration!
